The highly anticipated movie Star, starring Kavin, has made its grand debut in cinemas, capturing viewers’ attention. Directed by Elan, renowned for Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, the film follows the journey of a young man striving to make it big in the acting world. Since its release, the film has been met with various reviews, from mixed to positive, drawing in large crowds to the theaters. Reports indicate that the movie featuring Kavin has grossed around Rs 3 crore on its first release day. The film, which premiered on May 10 alongside Rasavathi, starring Arjun Das, and Uyir Thamizhkku, starring Ameer, is expected to see a surge in viewership over the weekend.
Kavin takes the lead role in Star, portraying the character of Kalai, a young man from a middle-class background who aspires to achieve success in the film industry as an actor. Supported by his caring father, played by Lal, Star tells the story of an underdog’s journey in pursuit of his dreams. The film also features Geetha Kailasam, Preity Mukhundhan, and Aaditi Pohankar, among others. With three delightful surprises, Star offers an experience that is best enjoyed firsthand in theaters. Since its release, the film has received a mixed to positive response, with Kavin’s performance being highly praised.
Kavin’s latest project, Star, marks his first release of the year. His previous appearance was in the 2023 Tamil blockbuster Dada, where he portrayed a single father alongside Aparna Das. Interestingly, Star was initially announced with actor Harish Kalyan, but Kavin replaced him in the project for undisclosed reasons. Recently, Harish Kalyan took to social media to extend his best wishes to Kavin and the Star team.
