With Three movies hitting the screens this Friday, the Telugu Film Box Office saw fierce competition. While Vishwaksen’s Gangs of Godavari has been able to attract a good number of audiences on day 1 despite negative response, the unexpected success of Bhaje Vaayu Vegam, fueled by positive reviews, has propelled it to the top of the box office rankings.
Bhaje Vaayu Vegam, featuring Karthikeya in the lead role, was helmed by debutant director Prashanth Reddy. Despite minimal promotional efforts by UV Creations, the film garnered positive feedback from viewers who appreciated its narrative, particularly in the latter half. Gradually, word of mouth increased audience turnout at cinemas, with some online users even dubbing “Bhaje Vaayu Vegam” as the standout release among all films on May 31.
The film’s success not only restored Karthikeya’s reputation as an actor with a discerning eye for scripts that are both sensible and entertaining but also marked a promising debut for director Prashanth Reddy. Most significantly, the steady rise in Bhaje Vaayu Vegam’s audience turnout in theaters indicates that Telugu viewers will always support good cinema, even if the film faces challenges like limited visibility or competition from other releases.
