Suriya’s Kanguva, after moving out of the Dussehra race to make way for Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, is now eyeing a new release date. The makers are reportedly aiming for a November release; however, it seems the film might miss out on a major festival opportunity.
The official release date announcement for Kanguva is scheduled for tomorrow at 11 AM. Reports suggest that the film will hit theaters post-Diwali 2024, which falls on November 13th. Although there’s no clear reason why it might miss the Diwali festive season, it appears the makers are targeting a solo release rather than entering a clash during the festival period.
Meanwhile, in Bollywood, two major films—Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn and other stars from Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, and the third installment of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise—are set to clash during Diwali. Following this, Suriya’s Kanguva will take center stage shortly after the festive heat.
