Kanguva Producer talks about the Competition Rumors with Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan

The producers of the Suriya-led film Kanguva have officially declared that the movie is set to be released in cinemas on October 10. Nevertheless, this has sparked speculation that it will coincide with the release of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Vettaiayan, which is also scheduled for October. Producer KE Gnanavelraja, who supports Kanguva, has addressed and dismissed these rumors. Please continue reading to find out more about his statement.

Kanguva, featuring Suriya in the central role, is scheduled to premiere in cinemas on October 10. Despite the excitement among the actor’s fans regarding the film’s confirmed release date, speculations have emerged suggesting that Kanguva will coincide with Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. Vettaiyan’s creators had previously announced that the movie would be released in October, but the exact date has yet to be disclosed. With Kanguva now revealing its release date, fans are speculating that both films will be in competition. In a recent interview, KE Gnanavelraja from Studio Green, the producer of Kanguva, stated, “I want to clarify that Vettaiyan is aiming for a Diwali release and is working towards that. Therefore, no films are planned for October 10. Emotionally and professionally, I will not choose to release alongside Rajini sir.” The producer also admired Rajinikanth and assured them they would never clash with his films.

Kanguva, directed by Siruthai Siva, is a high-budget action fantasy drama featuring Suriya, Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, and others. The film’s music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical rights for Kanguva, which is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year and marks Suriya’s return to the big screen after a two-year hiatus. Meanwhile, Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions, stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, and others.
