Devil Review: Secret Agent’s Story should have been kept secret. Ignore

Kalyan Ram, in the lead role as an investigative secret agent officer from Britain, engages in a tedious investigation that unfortunately sidetracks from the main content, consuming half of the film. In the latter half, while decoding a code to reveal its essence, the movie loses its narrative track, leaving viewers waiting for the end credits.

The film possesses potential to capture attention, but the twists could have been handled more promisingly, a crucial aspect for thrillers. Unfortunately, the lackluster making fails to intrigue, and a major flaw lies in the trailer, which reveals too much, robbing the audience of the thrill upon viewing.

Despite the fictional backdrop of Subash Chandra Bose’s freedom fighter story, there’s a noticeable absence of patriotism. The high-octane action sequences, though well-invested by the producers, lack emotional impact, causing the audience to step back. Harshavardhan’s background score falls below par for this dull thriller.

In conclusion, “Devil” lacks the power suggested by its title, with a weak narration that fails to translate the promising script onto the screen. A missed opportunity.

Note:* It’s a personal opinion. It will not be based on it’s film run or the talk on the other side.
