Joram was released in theaters a week later than Animal, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, and the biopic Sam Bahadur, featuring Vicky Kaushal.

He acknowledged that Animal and Sam Bahadur held significant prominence in the industry, indicating that Joram faced an uphill battle regarding box office success due to their high production costs. Despite the widespread anticipation surrounding Animal, Joram’s distinct genre and limited promotional resources hindered their ability to invest heavily in the film. Their movie had the intention of avoiding overwhelming the audience. When it came down to it, they were severe and practical. They had a realistic perspective on Joram’s situation and limitations. Manoj explained that this was the very reason why there was less of a necessity to generate profit. According to the actor, the film’s integrity has been compromised, as he has already criticized the excessive focus on box office statistics. The actor has held the belief for a long time that the fixation on box office results has ruined their country’s film industry. He has consistently voiced his opposition to this obsession. Additionally, the actor stated that it is not morally right to bombard people with numbers.
