A picture of Akshay sunbathing without a shirt on set quickly went viral, further fueling the movie’s popularity. However, an unexpected hurdle has now arisen for the project, which is currently in production. Recent reports indicate that a complaint has been filed against the film, accusing it of damaging the judicial system’s reputation.
District Bar Association President Chandrabhan Singh Rathod has filed a complaint against the actors Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, the director and the producers of Jolly LLB, as reported by NBT. Rathod believes that the movie will tarnish judicial dignity. The hearing for this complaint is scheduled for today. Rathod has urged the court to halt the movie’s filming, citing that the previous installments have ridiculed the judicial system. In a statement to the media, Rathod expressed his concerns, stating that the filmmakers and actors involved in Jolly LLB do not show respect towards the judiciary’s dignity and prestige. The shooting of Jolly LLB 3 is currently taking place in various locations, including the DRM office of Ajmer, and is expected to continue for an extended period. Rathod emphasized that the actors’ behavior during the filming process does not reflect seriousness toward upholding the image, prestige, and dignity of the judiciary and its judges. Chandrabhan further expressed his dissatisfaction with how lawyers and judges were depicted in the film, stating that it was not in line with reality. He held Jolly LLB responsible for tarnishing the judiciary’s image and disrespecting legal professionals through its indecent and comedic portrayal. He urged the filmmakers and the entire team to consider this and be mindful of it while producing the movie.
Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi are currently filming Jolly LLB 3 in Ajmer. Helmed by Subhash Kapoor, the film will maintain the same narrative path as its predecessors, with the courtroom serving as the focal point of the entire plot. The previous two movies garnered praise for their substance and enthusiastic reception from the viewers.
