Joju George is venturing into the world of directing with his debut Malayalam film, Pani. Recently, the makers unveiled the captivating motion poster, signaling that the movie will soon grace the theaters. As the shooting for Pani concluded in February, we can anticipate more exciting updates in the coming days. The motion poster showcases a sneak peek of the movie’s main actors, Joju George and Abhinaya. Sagar Surya and Junaiz, who were participants in Bigg Boss Malayalam, also play significant characters in the film. It is worth noting that all the actors, with the exception of the female lead, have a rough and rugged look.
The initial poster of the film was revealed on the latest episode of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6, which aired yesterday, May 27th. Actors Joju George, Abhinaya, Sagar Surya, and Junaiz appeared in the house to discuss the movie with the participants. The actor and director emphasized that the movie’s central theme revolves around seeking vengeance in two situations. Joju discussed this project with Sagar and Junaiz after patiently waiting for them to finish the show. He faced challenges for nearly a year while working on the film and doubted losing a significant amount of money. Due to his commitment to directing, he refrained from taking on any other film projects for a year. Joju revealed that “Pani” was predominantly filmed in various locations across Thrissur. Additionally, he mentioned that Jinto Bodycraft, a contestant on Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6, was supposed to be part of the movie but opted to participate in the reality show instead.
The film showcases a supporting ensemble that includes Sujith Shanker, Alexander Prasanth, Abhayaa Hiranmayi, Seema, Chandhini Sreedharan, Babu Namboothiri, Ranjith Velayudhan, and Bitto Davis. The director himself wrote the screenplay. M Riaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan have financed this movie. Sam C S is credited with composing the soundtrack and original score for the project.
