Chief Minister and the YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday cautioned the people against voting for the TDP. He told them that a vote for TDP would mean that a vote against the present welfare schemes.
Interacting with the people of Thuggali in Kurnool district, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the TDP would bring back the Janma Bhoomi committees if the party is voted to power. It would withdraw the volunteers who were delivering the pension and other services to the beneficiaries at their doorstep.
The chief minister wanted the people to recall how the Janma Bhoomi committees functioned during the TDP regime in the past. He said that the welfare schemes of this government would be withdrawn if the TDP is voted to power.
He said that his government had changed several sectors in the state including agriculture, health and education. Several changes were introduced in the agriculture sector, he said. The Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) were established, and all agriculture services are provided at one window.
The farmers were now getting seeds, pesticides, fertilisers and even the agriculture tools from the RBKs, the chief minister said. He also said that the farmers agriculture produce is purchased at the RBKs. He wanted the people to decide whether they wanted the RBKs to continue or not.
The chief minister said that the hospitals and schools were reconstructed across the state, giving them corporate look. The latest infrastructure was provided in the government schools and hospitals starting from the village level to the district level, he said.
The students are given uniform, books, shoes, bags and tabs, the chief minister said. The government schools’ students today look better than the students of the corporate schools, the chief minister added. He said that these facilities would go if they voted for the TDP.
Even the hospitals were improved in the last five years under the Nadu-Nedu programme, the chief minister said. He further added that latest technology was provided in the government hospitals. All vacant posts were filled, and the hospitals were now offering quality services, he said.
The chief minister also added that the Arogya Sri was also improved and more procedures were introduced in the list. The Arogya Sri limit was also increased, he said adding that the card eligibility is extended to the neighbouring states. He said that these facilities would go if they voted for the TDP in the coming elections. He cautioned the people to reject the TDP and vote for the YSR Congress.
