Chief Minister and YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the election battle is between TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and the people. He said he would take the side of the people.

Speaking at a public meeting at Puthalapattu on Wednesday, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu is known for betraying people. He further alleged that Naidu had promised so many things in the past but had never fulfilled any of them.

He said that Chandrababu Naidu is a sadist and would trouble people to any extent. He said that people were put to several hardships for the past three days due to pension distribution. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu had lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against involvement of the volunteers in the pension distribution. He alleged that Naidu had used Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar to stop volunteers in the distribution of the pensions. He wanted the people to understand how Chandrababu Naidu was troubling the aged, physically challenged and other beneficiaries of the pension.

He wanted the people to oppose the anti-people policies of Chandrababu Naidu. “Stand with the good and fight against evil,” Jagan Mohan Reddy told the people. He said that truth and honesty are with him, while Chandrababu Naidu is known for lies, false promises, cheating and backtrack. He said that the elections are a fight between truth and lie. He wanted the people to stand with truth and defeat lie.

He also said that the BJP had denied special category status to the State. Chandrababu Naidu had tied up with the BJP and was seeking votes. He wanted to know whether people would vote for such parties which have betrayed them. He wanted to know if they remember any scheme if they think of Chandrababu Naidu. He said that Naidu had no patent for any scheme during his regime.

Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he was fighting the battle to win 175 Assembly and 25 Parliament seats in the election. He wanted the people to think whether they have received any benefit from the government and support the party if they were benefited.

The chief minister said that he had pressed the button for 130 times in the last five years and extended financial benefit to every section of the people. He wanted the people to press the button once and vote for the YSRCP. He assured guaranteed welfare for another five years, if they voted for him.
