Chief Minister and ruling YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday declared that he is ready for the big battle with the four evils and the dacoits. Speaking at the party’s first election campaign at Bheemili in Visakhapatnam, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the impending war is between evil forces and dacoits on one side and good governance on the other.
He said that the opposition parties were not in a position to contest all 175 Assembly seats in the state. That was the reason why they were going for the alliances, he said. He also said that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was the chief minister for 14 years and dared the TDP chief to tell one programme that he had implemented.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said that these leaders have done nothing for the state and wondered how they would come now seeking votes. He said his party had implemented 99 per cent of the promises made during the 2019 general elections to the State Assembly.
He said that people are his star campaigners and does not require anyone from outside. He wanted the people to think of the benefits that were given to them in the last five years and vote.
He also asked the party workers to go to every voter and see that they voted for the YSR Congress.
He said he had provided quality education in the government schools, quality health care in the government hospitals. The schools were renovated, education system was revamped, and the children were given uniforms, books and tabs, he said.
Similarly, in the health sector, from village clinic to the general hospital were modernised with latest equipment. The doctors and nursing staff were recruited, and everything was put in place, he said. He wanted the people to visit any government school or hospital and feel the change.
He wanted the rank and file of the party to work hard to win 175 Assembly seats and 25 Parliament seats in the coming election. He wanted everyone to work hard for the next three months and ensure that peoples’ government is restored to power.
