The film opens with a usual yet beautiful bonding between a father and his small daughter, but a slight tragic turn in the daughter’s health introduces the backend love story featuring the lead pair. The first 20 minutes of the film were quite promising; however, it loses momentum with a poorly executed love story that lacks emotions. Nani and Mrunal Thakur fail to make a lasting impression, and after the love story, the extended family incidents add a boring element. A surprise in the interval shot doesn’t leave an impact either. Mrunal also appears to be a misfit for the love story, lacking the spark needed to elevate the dull narrative.
Baby Kiara Khanna, in the role of the small daughter, delivers a fabulous performance, providing some good moments. Despite this, the love story can easily be dismissed. The involvement of a small pup in determining the fate of the forced emotional love story seems illogical. The background score by Hesham Abdul Wahab is deemed just okay.
Ultimately, it seems that only Baby Kiara can bring some magic to the second half; otherwise, the film runs the risk of being labeled as another disappointment.
After a surprise during the interval shot, Mrunal attempts to rejoin the lives of Nani and Baby Kiara. However, it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference to the uninteresting first half. Unfortunately, the film lacks emotional depth due to its initial backstory. Apart from a couple of good emotional moments involving baby Kiara, there’s not much else to add to the overall experience.
