Guruvayoorambala Nadayil collects 50 Crores in 5 Days

Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, the comedy entertainer directed by Vipin Das and featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph, has achieved a feat that is nothing short of magical. Within a mere 5 days of its release, this multi-starrer has stormed into the prestigious Rs. 50 crore club of the Malayalam film industry. The speed at which it has achieved this milestone is a testament to its potential to become a blockbuster. However, it falls just short of surpassing the record set by Prithviraj Sukumaran’s previous release Aadujeevitham, directed by Blessy.

The celebrated actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, along with the entire cast and crew of Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, recently took to their official social media platforms to share a moment of pride. The film, in its directorial debut by Vipin Das, has not only conquered the hearts of the Malayalam cinema industry but also the global box office, surpassing the Rs. 50 crore mark within just five days of its release.

Aadujeevitham made history in the Malayalam cinema industry by becoming the fastest film to reach the Rs. 50 crore mark. Despite the release of other highly anticipated films like Aavesham, Varshangalkku Shesham, and Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, none were able to surpass the record set by Prithviraj Sukumaran and Blessy’s survival drama. Within just 4 days (first weekend), Aadujeevitham grossed over Rs. 64 crore, followed by Mohanlal’s Lucifer and Mammootty’s Bheeshma Parvam. If the trend continues, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil is expected to cross the Rs. 75 crore mark globally within its first week of release. Reports indicate that the Prithviraj-Basil starrer earned over Rs. 5.75 crore worldwide on its first Monday in theaters (Day 5), proving its strong appeal to audiences. With such a positive reception, the film is likely to maintain its success in the coming weeks.
