Guntur Kaaram: “It’s Ayurvedic,” Declares Mahesh Babu

In the realm of Telugu cinema, Mahesh Babu’s stardom is undeniable, with each of his movies carrying immense expectations and garnering significant attention. However, the recent release, “Guntur Kaaram,” has diverged from the conventional trajectory of Mahesh Babu’s films, facing criticism and bad reviews. Despite these challenges, the film is navigating its own path, steadily progressing even in the face of adversity.

One intriguing aspect that fueled discussions was the team’s decision to abstain from promotional interviews before the movie’s release, leaving many to wonder about their marketing strategy. The post-release scenario has shed light on this enigma as the team has now actively engaged in promotional activities. Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela, the lead actors, recently participated in an interview with renowned anchor Suma, attracting massive attention from netizens.

During the interview, one particular element stole the spotlight – Mahesh Babu’s use of a cigar in “Guntur Kaaram.” This sparked controversy, with some suggesting indirect promotion of smoking. However, Mahesh Babu addressed the concerns by revealing that he neither smokes nor encourages smoking. He clarified that the cigar used in the film was ayurvedic, made from ingredients like cloves, offering a mint flavor without any tobacco content. Moreover, Mahesh shared that the initial use of actual cigars led to migraines, prompting the switch to the ayurvedic alternative.
