Apart from the major releases from South Indian Cinema, Disney Plus Hot Star, the OTT giant is also trying to put in as much original content. After Uppu Puli Kaaram, Chutney Sambar and My Perfectt Husband, the platform is coming up with Goli Soda — The Rising, a new web series for which a teaser was recently released.
Goli Soda — The Rising is created by Vijay Milton and produced by Ramesh Krishnamoorthy. The teaser shows various characters linked with an eatery. It has drama, emotions, and action parts as well. Goli Soda — The Rising is the continuation of Vijay Milton’s Goli Soda Series. Goli Soda (2014) and Goli Soda (2018) show the story of a group of four friends living in a market.
Goli Soda — The Rising has an ensemble cast which includes Shaam, Abirami, Pugazh, Ramya Nambeesan, Avanthika Mishra, Cheran, R K Vijay Murugan, Bharath Sreeni, Kishore, Pandi, Udhaya Raj, Murugesh, Kutty Mani, Ammu Abhirami, Seetha, Swetha, Sujatha, Inman Annacchi, John Mahendran, and Madhusudan Rao. SN Arungiri composed songs for the series, while Simon K King provided the background score. Goli Soda — The Rising will be released in seven languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi.
