In World War II, Norway encountered a significant challenge when German troops invaded their land, endangering their gold reserves. This remarkable account tells of the courageous actions of Norwegian heroes who hurried to move the entire gold reserve, braving dangerous terrains and enemy troops to keep the valuable metal away from the Germans, protecting their country’s riches and honor.

Set during the 1940s, the Gold Run trailer commences with a family joyously celebrating a child’s birthday. However, the festivities come to a halt as a distant siren blares, prompting the family to pause the birthday party. This scene will surely provoke many questions in the viewer’s mind. Subsequently, the following scene depicts the desolate roads of Norway resembling a cemetery devoid of any human presence. Military aircraft surveil every corner of Norway while women are shown burning countless documents. Jon Øigarden portrays Fredrik Haslund, a dedicated parliament secretary who takes his responsibilities seriously. When German troops suddenly invaded Oslo in April 1940, Fredrik made the tough choice to remain at his post and confront the danger rather than seek refuge elsewhere. He places his work above his family’s safety and welfare.
