Anjali-starrer Geethanjali proved to be a hit with audiences and a profitable venture for its producers. The positive reception of the film encouraged the team to create a sequel. However, the recently released Geethanjali Malli Vachindi failed to capture the same charm as the original.
A few days ago, the horror comedy film Geethanjali Malli Vachindi was released on the Telugu streaming platform Aha Video. Now, this movie starring Anjali can also be streamed on Prime Video. Surprisingly, Prime Video released the film without any prior announcement. The makers are optimistic that the online performance of “Geethanjali Malli Vachindi” will compensate for its underwhelming response in theaters. Srinivas Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, Satya, Shakalaka Shankar, Sunil, Ali, Ravi Shankar, Rahul Madhav, and various other actors portrayed significant characters in the film. The story was written by Kona Venkat, who collaborated with Bhanu Bhogavarapu on the screenplay. MVV Satyanarayana and GV produced the horror comedy under the production banners of MVV Cinema and Kona Film Corporation.
The film Geethanjali Malli Vachindi, helmed by Shiva Turlapati, presents an engaging central storyline. However, it falls short in terms of an engaging screenplay that could truly captivate and amuse the viewers. Despite a few enjoyable instances and witty dialogues involving Sunil and Sathya, the comedy in the film lacks impact. Moreover, the emotional depth is lacking, with inadequate exploration of the antagonist’s perspective and the absence of any unexpected twists. To sum up, while Geethanjali Malli Vachindi offers some entertaining moments thanks to Satya, overall, it required more originality and excitement in terms of humor and suspense, resulting in a somewhat lackluster viewing experience despite several comedians.
