Gautham Menon praises Manjummel Boys

The Malayalam movie Manjummel Boys has significantly impacted the box office. It has been appreciated in its home state of Kerala and other parts of South India, particularly Tamil Nadu. The film, which pays tribute to the Tamil industry through its references to Gunaa and the iconic song Kanmani Anbodu, has been the subject of much discussion. The latest person to praise the film is filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Since its launch, Manjummel Boys has received praise from film industry personalities and the general public across various states. Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon is the latest individual to express admiration for the film. In a recent social media post, the director described Manjummel Boys as a “theatrical high experience film” and a “connection to the magic that cinema embodies.” Gautham Menon also commended the well-crafted nature of the film and remarked. He said that When ‘Manidhar unarndhu kolla’ played on the soundtrack, it somehow brought back memories of watching Guna on its opening day many years ago and numerous occasions after that, which all made perfect sense to him.

Gautham Menon, a devoted fan of Kamal Haasan, collaborated with the versatile actor in the 2006 action drama Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Manjummel Boys pays a remarkable tribute to Kamal Haasan’s 1991 film Gunaa. The storyline revolves around a group of men who embark on a trip to Kodaikanal Caves, also known as Gunaa Caves. When one of them falls into a deep pit, the rest of the group band together to rescue their friend.
