Black Widow star Florence Pugh has excited Marvel fans with a sneak peek at the filming of Thunderbolts, the highly anticipated MCU outing. Pugh, who will reprise her role as Yelena Belova, shared a glimpse of her new costume, hinting at an upgrade for her character. The sneak peek also included a still from the movie’s set, showcasing a mysterious logo on her shoulder and a setting that suggests a pivotal scene in the film.
Thunderbolts, directed by Jake Schreier and written by Eric Pearson and Lee Sung Jin, will be the final movie in Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film features a star-studded cast, including Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, David Harbour as Red Guardian, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster. Additionally, Lewis Pullman has been cast as Robert Reynolds, aka Sentry, a character described as Marvel’s Superman with both hero and villain traits.
The movie’s production faced delays, including disruptions caused by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, leading to the exit of Steven Yeun. However, with filming now underway, fans can look forward to Thunderbolts delivering another thrilling chapter in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.
