Fighter movie clearance failed in Gulf Countries, causing a loss of crores of revenue

It looks like the problems will not leave the latest aerial action drama, Fighter. It is widely known that Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter was released in theaters worldwide on January 25th. However, the film was not released in UAE and other Gulf Countries. The film had the theme of India-Pakistan and terrorism elements, so it did not pass the censor certification. The film lost a lot of revenue because it was not released there.

The team of Fighter Movie re-edited the film and applied for the censor, But there was no change as the censor board rejected the film again. So it is clear that there is no chance of the film getting released here. The Middle East is the most vital territory for Bollywood’s overseas market, and a big movie like Fighter not getting a release in this market impacted the film’s business and numbers. The movie has collected over 250 Crores Gross worldwide; this weekend is crucial for getting decent numbers at the box office.

Even before the release, Fighter bookings started on a decent but as big as one expects for a big hero’s crazy film. While the first weekend was decent at the domestic box office, the film saw a massive crash on Monday. For eight days, the film’s India Net will be over 140 Crores, and Gross will be around 170 Crores.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi in significant roles. Produced by Viacom18 Studios, Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, and Anku Pande, the film’s music is composed by Vishal-Shikhar. The fighter was also released in 3D format.
