Fiasco OTT release details

The French film industry has produced several successful films for Netflix. Titles such as Atlantics, Divines, I Lost My Body, School Life, The Wolf’s Call, The World Is Yours, Marseille, Osmosis, and Lupin have all garnered significant viewership on the popular streaming platform. As a result of this success, Netflix is now set to release a new comedy series called Fiasco from the French industry next month.

The French comedy series Fiasco is scheduled for release on Netflix on April 30. It was created, written, and directed by Igor Gotesman, with co-creation and co-writing credits going to Pierre Niney. Both Gotesman and Niney also star in the series, with Niney portraying the main character, Raphaël Valande, and Gotesman taking on another significant role. Raphaël Valande, a film director, embarks on his directorial debut with a heartfelt film that pays homage to his grandmother’s extraordinary life. Unfortunately, the set encounters a series of unfortunate events, turning the once-promising shoot into a nightmarish ordeal as a team member attempts to undermine the production.

Eight years after the beloved film The Five (2016) debut, Igor Gotesman, Pierre Niney, and François Civil joined forces again for a new project called Fiasco. Pierre shared the exciting news on his Twitter account two days ago, posting a behind-the-scenes video from the set of the comedy series. In his post, Pierre mentioned that Fiasco has been a passion project for the team, with casting discussions starting back during the production of The Five. Igor Gotesman’s previous show, Family Business, was a hit on Netflix, drawing in a large audience until the final episode. Therefore, it was no surprise that he would return to the streaming platform for Fiasco. The series consists of 7 episodes, each running for 35 minutes.

Fiasco presents a humorous twist on the true-crime category, providing a sneak peek into the tumultuous realm of movie production. It showcases a remarkable group of actors, featuring Géraldine Nakache, François Civil, Vincent Cassel, and Marie-Christine Barrault.
