Episode 6 Review: House of the Dragon Season 2

“The Rise of Princess Rhaenyra”

The episode stands as an engaging drama with a couple of standout moments that keep us eager to see what unfolds in the upcoming episodes.

Things are finally falling into place for the emergence of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. She is learning to embrace her abilities to become a true queen and is not backing down from the counsel’s words. This episode serves as a pivotal one for the Princess.

The scenes of people turning against the rulers of King’s Landing coupled with the seasmoke scenes in particular, were terrific. The graphics and quality of production have been quite intriguing.

The only downside is Daemon being stuck at Harrenhal, haunted by his dreams and trying to overcome them. This makes a character who once dominated in Season 1 seem boring, despite his efforts.

On the other hand, Aemond Targaryen is excelling as an evil king, and his scenes with Alicent and Aegon were spot-on.

After a somewhat slow pace in the previous episode, this one picks up the momentum, setting the stage for crucial developments in the coming episodes to shape the season into a well-balanced one.
