From February 15th, SRK’s latest film, Dunki, was made available for streaming on Netflix with Hindi audio and English subtitles. Despite speculations that the movie would premiere on Jio Cinema, it debuted on Netflix, leaving everyone curious about its potential release on other platforms. The fans expect the film to reach a wider audience through the OTT release.
Rajkumar Hirani, known for his exceptional contributions to Indian cinema, directed the film. However, unlike his previous works, Dunki received mixed reviews from both the audience and critics. Despite this, the movie managed to earn a staggering 470 crores gross at the global box office, thanks to the star power of SRK. In India alone, it collected around 220 crores Net. The film revolves around a soldier who aids his friends in reaching the UK through Dunki, an illegal route. Taapsee Pannu portrayed the female lead, while Vicky Kaushal delivered a remarkable performance in a pivotal cameo. Produced by Gauri Khan and Rajkumar Hirani under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, this comedy-drama also featured Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover in significant roles.
