When the first look poster of Vijay’s upcoming film G.O.A.T was unveiled, everything seemed to be in place as fans were thrilled to see Vijay in dual roles, portraying both father and son characters. This isn’t new for Vijay, as he has already proven his capability in similar roles through his recent film Bigil.
However, the excitement for G.O.A.T has not met expectations, as both audiences and fans expressed disappointment, particularly with the de-aged look of Vijay. The younger version of Vijay’s appearance has been a significant setback for the makers. Additionally, the underwhelming audio of the song “Spark” caused further uproar, with Vijay’s steps and looks becoming the subject of heavy trolling on social media.
Addressing these issues, Director Venkat Prabhu recently stated at the pre-release event that they accept the criticism and acknowledge that even Vijay sir asked them to address it, as audiences are accustomed to his familiar appearance. The director also mentioned that changes have been made, particularly for the “Spark” song. The latest trailer provided a glimpse of how Vijay will be portrayed in the younger role, and these changes will be reflected in the film as well.
