Did Naidu give pensions at home, asks Jagan

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday asked the people whether TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu had given pensions to the people at their doorstep. Stating that Naidu had worked as chief minister for 14 years and wanted to know whether he had given anything to the people at their doorstep.Addressing an impressive gathering at Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Friday, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu is a synonym for cheating. He betrayed NTR and betrayed people, he said. He also recalled Chandrababu Naidu’s promise to the farmers, weavers and the women in the 2014 general elections. He said that Naidu had promised total loan waiver to the farmers. But Naidu waited for three years, brought scale of finance and waived just Rs 1.5 lakh only, he said.

Jagna Mohan Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu had also betrayed the weavers and the self-help group women. He said Naidu had promised total loan waiver for the weavers and the women. However, he did not waive even a single paise in five years of his rule, Jagan Mohan Reddy said. There is not a single scheme that reminds people of Chandrababu Naidu, he said. He further added that Chandrababu Naidu withdrew several welfare schemes and looted the state to help the rich. Chandrababu Naidu is a known corporate leader and not peoples leader, he said.

He said that Mangalagiri is a weaker sections area and the YSR Ciongress fielded a BC woman, Murugudu Lavanya, as the MLA candidate. However, TDP had fielded an upper caste leader, Nara Lokesh, as its candidate, Jagan Mohan Reddy said. He further alleged that the TDP wants to grab the votes of the weaker sections to make an upper caste Lokesh as their leader, he said.
