Dhanush, the multi-talented star actor, is set to direct his 50th film as an actor. This marks his second directorial venture, where he will also play the lead role alongside Sundeep Kishan. The project, titled Raayan, is being produced by Sun Pictures. Kalidas Jayaram will also be seen in another prominent role. Recently, the makers unveiled an intriguing first-look poster for Raayan. The poster features Dhanush, Sundeep Kishan, and Kalidas Jayaram wearing aprons. Dhanush stands in front of a food truck, while Sundeep Kishan is inside the vehicle, and Kalidas sits atop it. They are seen holding skewers and knives, with blood marks on Dhanush’s apron. Although they appear to be chefs, their expressions and weapons suggest they are more than just that.
Dhanush sports a short hairdo with a handlebar mustache, while Sundeep Kishan and Jayaram have rugged looks. The first-look poster has generated a great deal of curiosity among the audience. The fans are already on cloud nine, highly impressed with Raayan’s first look. Apart from the lead cast, the movie also features SJ Surya, Selvaraghavan, Aparna Balamurali, and Dhushara Vijayan in important roles. The film is expected to have high technical standards and top-notch production values. AR Rahman is composing the music, while Om Prakash handles the camera work. Prasanna GK oversees the editing, Jacki is the production designer, and Peter Hein is the action choreographer.
The makers have announced that the movie will be released this year. The cast includes Dhanush, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, SJ Surya, Selvaraghavan, Aparna Balamurali, and Dhushara Vijayan.
