Devil Movie 1st&2nd Half Report

Devil 1st half: Bad

The investigative murder case thriller, entwined with the Subhash Chandra Bose case, proves to be quite dull. Predictability shadows each scene, making it easy for spectators to anticipate the outcome of the investigation. The presence of a British Secret Agent portrayed by Kalyan Ram does little to add genuine suspense. Unfortunately, the roles played by Samyuktha Menon and Malavika Nair, while crucial for the film’s actual content, lack surprise, thanks to the trailer’s excessive revelations.

As for Kalyan Ram’s portrayal of the British Secret Agent, it falls short, offering little beyond showcasing British costumes from the pre-Indian freedom era. His attempts at engaging in boring investigative thrilling moments prove lackluster, with his serious acting seemingly predictable to the audience.

In terms of direction, whether it was handled by an experienced individual or the producer themselves, the outcome is less than satisfactory. Despite lavish spending on sets, the film fails to offer much beyond visual appeal.

Devil 2nd half: Bad

The central plot twist, while not surprising, delves into the essential nature of the main character. However, it fails to evoke a sense of uniqueness or significance. The twist further explores the intricacies between the leading characters, which, unfortunately, compel the audience to endure mundane and unexciting moments of investigating and decoding complex codes. Despite these efforts, the film’s core essence remains unimpressive and lacks the ability to captivate.

Note:* It’s a personal opinion. It will not be based on it’s film run or the talk on the other side.
