Devara: Can the Hindi Version surprise on first day?

Devara’s Hindi version will have to face a big test at the box office. It is widely known that Devara, the action drama directed by Koratala Siva and starring NTR in the lead role, is all set to arrive on big screens in another three days. While the film is having sensational overseas pre-sales and is also set for a gigantic start in the Telugu states, the situation in Northern India is still unclear.

It is not a secret that the openings and lifetime collections of Pan Indian films are affected by the North Indian market. Because of the huge reach of the Hindi market, the collections can make a significant change in a film’s result, and that is why all the films from south Indian cinema, whether it is Telugu or Tamil, will give prominence to the release in the north Indian market. However, to get decent openings in the Hindi version, the makers need to put a lot of effort into the promotions to make audiences walk towards the theaters. Coming to Devara, the makers have arranged a few promotional interviews, such as an interview with Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, and NTR, and the other one was Sandeep Reddy Vanga as a host with Saif Ali Khan, Janvi Kapoor, Koratala Siva, and NTR. Apart from this, there were not many promotions done by the team of Devara for the Hindi version.

The bookings for Devara’s Hindi version have not opened yet, and the trade analysts have a different set of opinions on the film’s opening. While a few trade experts say that the film will have an opening around 5 crore net on day 2, few others think that it will be able to get in the range of 7-10 crore net. As Devara has more action parts, it can bring good numbers in the mass centers like Bihar, Chandigarh, and other areas. If the footfalls in the mass stations are good, Devara can really surprise everyone with a good opening in Hindi. Let us hope that the film works and scores a good result in the North Indian market.
