Manoj Bajpayee, the renowned actor, was recently seen in a gangster role in Bhaiyya Ji, his 100th film. The film was a failure at the box office, but after its digital release on ZEE5, it received a good response and clocked record-breaking streaming minutes. Now, the digital platform has announced that an original film starring Manoj will be streamed on it. Despatch is the new film that has been directed by Kanu Behl and stars Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role.
Manoj will be seen in a journalistic character who is threatened by digitalization. The character also goes through a midlife crisis and gets involved in incidents that are beyond his control. The makers recently announced the film and informed us that it will be streaming on ZEE5 soon. This information was shared with a new poster featuring Manoj Bajpayee. The poster shows Manoj in a tense situation, donning spectacles and carrying a bag on his shoulder. Also, there is a newspaper in the background that has the film’s title on the top, and the first big headline is “India’s Biggest Scam.” The makers of Despatch also shared that the film will be premiering at MAMI Festival 2024.
Manoj Bajpayee’s and another OTT original, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, is streaming on ZEE5. The film was inspired by the real-life events of advocate Poonam Chand Solanki, who fought the 2013 Asaram Bapu rape case, and it was directed by Apoorv Singh Karki.
