Deadpool And Wolverine Review

“A whole new Marvel future. Rest assured, it’s safe”

First thing to say is that right after Deadpool’s entry, the title cards of the casting were right on the spot, which already made the ticket price worth it. They were showcased beautifully through an action sequence where Ryan Reynolds’ name comes out from the bones of Logan and Hugh Jackman’s name comes out from the skull of Wolverine. This is just smashing.

Coming to the storyline, Wade Wilson gets taken away by the TVA, and we get to see, well, basically a repeat of the Loki series narration, which kind of takes you off a bit. However, Deadpool’s comic timing keeps us engaged. Deadpool’s search for Wolverine and their first face-off action sequence were well shot.

Chris Evans as Human Torch and several other cameos from the Deadpool and Wolverine franchises make it worth our while in the Void. Man! Cassandra Nova’s powers are so strong; based on her actions, I think it requires the whole Avengers and X-Men to take her down.

The cameos of Elektra, Blade, Gambit, and X-23 in the Void were enticing, and the way they united with Deadpool and Wolverine was terrific as hell. A whole new world is now loading in the timeline.

This Wolverine represents the X-Men, and fans of that franchise, like me, will surely get goosebumps throughout as he faces the heat for them. The suit he wears, representing Charles and his team, is a prime example of a feast for X-Men fans.

I can tell you that Cassandra Nova could become another Thanos if the team focuses more on her characterization. It would be a grand feast for both the Avengers and X-Men teams.

Overall Verdict: The film represents the most awaited unity of both Deadpool and Wolverine, and in the process, it opens the roots for a whole new story in Marvel’s next phase. Several standalone films in the future will be another exciting journey for Marvel fans. Personally, I am excited for the X-Men film.
