Shawn Levy’s directorial Deadpool and Wolverine, was released on 26 July 2024. The movie, featuring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the main roles, had a fantastic opening day at the box office, raking in Rs 22 crore. Following a strong first day, the film experienced an increase in earnings on Saturday, bringing its total collection close to the Rs 50 crore mark in just two days.

Following an impressive start with a collection of Rs 22 crore, the superhero movie raked in Rs 23 crore on Saturday across all languages. Deadpool & Wolverine achieved an overall 41.94% English occupancy on Saturday. According to the box office trackers, the film has now earned nearly ₹45 crore in India. The movie received positive reviews upon its release, and positive word of mouth is expected to contribute to its success even on weekdays. With the growth observed on its second day, it is anticipated that the film will continue to perform well today, on Sunday. If there is a significant turnout today, mainly because it is a holiday, the film could easily surpass the Rs 65-70 crore mark at the Indian Box Office. However, the actual test for the movie in India will take place on weekdays.

Most critics opined that Deadpool & Wolverine is filled with fan service. Additionally, the studio’s eagerness to produce a pop-culturally charged hit with attractive men and women portraying mutants is evident in the film. The superhero movie, which is based on Marvel Comics, showcases the characters Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). This film serves as a follow-up to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). It is the 34th installment in the Marvel Universe (MCU). Directed by Shawn Levy, the movie also features Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Aaron Stanford, and Matthew Macfadyen in supporting roles.
