The film De De Pyaar De was an excellent commercial hit in 2019, grossing over Rs 150 crore worldwide. Encouraged by the film’s success, the project makers decided to transform it into a franchise, with plans to release a sequel soon. It is worth mentioning that De De Pyaar De was a romantic comedy movie directed by Akiv Ali in his directorial debut, written by Luv Ranjan. The film featured Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. The plot revolves around Ashish (played by Devgn), a middle-aged NRI on the verge of divorce, who decides to marry Ayesha (portrayed by Singh), a much younger woman. Complications arise when Ayesha comes face to face with Ashish’s family, which includes his soon-to-be ex-wife Manju (Tabu) and their children, Ishika and Ishaan.
