Confirmed: Aadujeevitham will make its Digital Debut on this Date

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s highly anticipated survival drama Aadujeevitham is set to make its digital debut after a long wait. Following its theatrical release over three months ago, Netflix acquired the film’s digital rights. The OTT platform made the announcement on its social media channels, generating much excitement among fans. Directed by Blessy, the film tells the compelling real-life story of Najeeb Muhammed, portrayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, a migrant worker from Kerala.

Netflix revealed that Aadujeevitham, starring Prithviraj, will premiere on its platform on June 19, 2024. The streaming service also confirmed that the movie will be available in various languages, such as Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. Amala Paul portrays the character of Najeeb’s wife, Sainu, with Jimmy Jean-Louis, Rik Aby, and Talib al Balushi appearing in other significant roles. The film’s music was crafted by the Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman. Following its release in theaters, the film garnered a tremendous response from both audiences and critics, who lauded Prithviraj’s exceptional performance and Blessy’s remarkable direction. The film also grossed over Rs 160 crores at the box office, solidifying its position as the second highest-grossing Malayalam film of the year. The survival drama, an adaptation of the 2008 best-selling Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham by Benyamin, directed by acclaimed director Blessy, tells the real-life story of Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant laborer. Najeeb Muhammed travels to Saudi Arabia for a job opportunity to improve his life, only to find himself ensnared by an Arab who compels him to live a life akin to slavery, herding goats in the desert for several years. The film depicts his hardships and his eventual liberation from the clutches of his Arab employer.
