Bigg Boss Kannada OTT and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 winner Roopesh Shetty had returned to direction with Circus movie after a super hit like Girgit. Roopesh finished the Circus movie before entering the Bigg Boss Kannada Show. For unknown reasons, he released Circus after the Bigg Boss Kannada 9th season ended, which worked very well for him. Circus was a good hit at the box office.
Circus also achieved the biggest opening for a Tulu film. The film, which further stars Rachana Rai, Aravind Bolar, Yash Shetty and Naveen Padil, is finally coming to OTT, more than a year after its theatrical release. Talkies OTT has bought Circus digital rights and the film will be available to stream starting August 15. In Circus, Roopesh appears as Rahul, an educated young man who desires to become an entrepreneur. He tries to mortgage a family property to secure financial help to achieve his dream, but he fails to make that happen. The rest of the story is how Rahul gets out of this situation.
Mankubhai Foxy Rani was the last Kannada film where Roopesh was last seen. He will be seen in Adhipatra, a film in which he plays a cop. Adhipatra is a suspense thriller which is based on a true story. The film was shot in and around Mangaluru and it will be released in theaters on September 27. Roopesh is paired with Jahnavi of Gicchi Giligili fame in Adhipatra. MK Matha, Prakash Thuminad, Deepak Rai, Karthik Bhatt, Anil Uppal, Prashanth and Raghu Pandeshwar play crucial roles in the film.
