Megastar Chiranjeevi, after the setback of Bhola Shankar, has become cautious in selecting directors and exploring different genres. He is now gearing up for a socio-fantasy film titled Vishwambhara, directed by Vashishta. From day one of its announcement, the filmmakers have been clear about their intention to release the film for Sankranti 2025. Recent reports indicate that despite the risks associated with the OTT deal, there will be no change in the release date.
Except for the pending shoot of a couple of songs, the content for Vishwambhara is ready. The makers are planning to release a teaser cut during Dussehra 2024, which will kick-start the promotional campaign for the film.
Director Vashishta gained recognition with his debut film, Bimbisara. Despite being a newcomer and working with a limited budget for a socio-fantasy film, he successfully captivated audiences with his narration, resulting in a Box Office success. With a big production house backing him for this Megastar project, expectations for Vishwambhara are certainly high. Additionally, Oscar Award winner MM Keeravaani’s music is expected to play a key role in the film.
