Chandrababu’s era concluded, says Vijayasai Reddy

Ruling YSR Congress MP V Vijayasai Reddy on Saturday said that the era of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu concluded with his arrest in the skill development scam. Speaking to media persons at Bapatla on Saturday, Vijayasai Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu indulged in huge corruption during his regime in the past and between 2014 and 2019.

He wanted to know what people would remind of when Chandrababu Naidu’s name is referred. He said that Naidu had no scheme to name after him and no developmental work to attribute to his continuation.

He said that people were not interested in fighting for Chandrababu Naidu these days. Even the national level leaders were silent on the arrest, he said adding that it all shows the end of Chandrababu Naidu’s era in politics.

Referring to Nara Lokesh, the YSRCP MP said that the young leader had no leadership quality. He is unable to move the people, convince the people against the arrest, Vijayasai Reddy said. He alleged that Lokesh, like his father, was trying to influence the institutions. He said that Lokesh was using senior advocates from the Supreme Court to influence the institutions in his father’s favour.

He took strong exception to BJP AP unit president Daggubati Purandheswari’s complaints to the union home minister and the finance minister. He said that Purandheswari was working as the TDP defacto president rather than the BJP president. He discounted her complaints on state finances and liquor trade in the state.

Vijayasai Reddy alleged that Purandheswari was making baseless allegations against the YSR Congress leaders and the state government on liquor trade. He dared the BJP AP unit president to prove her charges or quit politics.
