TDP senior leader late Chalasani Venkateswara Rao alias Pandu’s daughter Devineni Smitha alleged that the TDP had done a lot of injustice to the Chalasani Pandu’s family. She said that both Naidu and Lokesh have promised party ticket for the family in the last five years. At the end, the ticket was given to Bode Prasad for Penamaluru Assembly constituency, Pandu’s daughter Devineni Smitha alleged.
Smitha said that the party had promised party ticket to the family in 2014 and 2019 as well. However, they have promised party ticket in 2024. She said that the entire family had worked for the party in the last five years. When Chandrababu Naidu was arrested also, the family worked for the party, she said.
Pandu’s daughter alleged that the party had done injustice to the family. She further said that she had sent several WhatsApp messages to Lokesh. She further alleged that Lokesh did not respond to any of her messages.
Smitha further said that neither Chandrababu Naidu nor Lokesh responded to their requests. They did not even give her appointment in the last five years, she said. She wondered why she and her family should work for the TDP when their requests are not considered!
She said that she would hold a meeting with her supporters in the next couple of days and take a decision whether to continue in the TDP or leave the party. She said that there was no point in continuing the party which had done injustice to the family.
She also alleged that the party leaders have betrayed her father Chalasani Venkateswara Rao (Pandu) when he contested from the Penamaluru Assembly seat in the past. They conspired to defeat Pandu in the elections, she alleged.
