Bread & Roses is a documentary film that is all set to arrive on OTT. Produced by Jennifer Lawrence and Malala Yousufzai, the documentary has been directed by Sahra Mani. The film focuses on the struggle of Afghan women against the Taliban, and it will be soon made available for online streaming. The latest reports suggest that Apple Original Films has acquired the digital rights of Bread & Roses.
Apple Original Films will soon update about the exact digital release date of Bread & Roses, which premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2023. The trailer of the film shows the events of Afghanistan in 2021 when the country lost to the Taliban after the US and UK forced it to withdraw from the country. Bread & Roses mainly shows the point of view of three women, who fight against the Taliban despite threats against their lives. Reportedly, the documentary film will be available for online streaming in the third week of November.
The documentary feature focuses on the fight of women against closing schools for girls. According to Director Sahra, the main reason behind Talibans closing schools for girls is that educated children cannot be misguided or indoctrinated to become their future soldiers. Bread & Roses joins films like STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie and Selena Gomez: My Mind $ Me, which are also available for streaming on Apple Original Films.
