Brar’s Stellar Bowling Keeps RCB Batters at Bay

The latest IPL clash between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru witnessed a spirited performance from the Punjab side, despite their eventual loss. Off-spinner Harpreet Brar emerged as the standout bowler for the Kings, returning with impressive figures of 2/13 from his four overs.

Brar’s strategy was simple yet effective – to dry up the runs and build pressure on the RCB batters. He succeeded in doing so, bowling a miserly spell laced with dot balls. As he rightly pointed out, the key in T20 cricket is to bowl at good lengths, away from the batters’ hitting arcs. The M.Chinnaswamy Stadium pitch offered some assistance to the bowlers, and Brar made the most of it.

The off-spinner revealed that the PBKS team had assessed the wicket well during their batting innings, realizing that bowling on the stumps would be more effective. Brar stuck to this plan, focusing on maintaining disciplined lines and lengths throughout his spell. Despite his efforts, RCB managed to chase down the target, but Brar’s performance was a bright spot for the Kings in an otherwise disappointing outing.
