Box Office: Trade Experts anticipate a decent opening from Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, featuring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, was originally scheduled for release on July 5. However, the release has been delayed to August 2. This decision was influenced by the impressive performance of Kalki 2898 AD, which premiered a week prior on June 28. With only a few days remaining until the film’s debut, industry analysts anticipate a sluggish opening at the box office for this musical thriller. Nevertheless, there is optimism that it may gain momentum if the audience response is favorable.

An expert in the field of trade mentioned that, under the condition of anonymity, following the film’s postponement, there was a lack of significant promotion during the initial 10 days. Despite the release of songs by the producers, the film generated little buzz. It is anticipated to have a more substantial opening than Akshay Kumar’s most recent film, Sarfira. Akshay’s film collected an amount of around Rs. 2.50 crores. Trade analyst Atul Mohan stated that Ajay Devgn has achieved a remarkable feat post-lockdown by delivering a Rs. 200 crore grosser through Drishyam 2 (2022) and a Rs. 150 crore grosser with Shaitaan (2023). He also praised Neeraj Pandey for his impressive work in the past. Distributor and exhibitor Raj Bansal expressed optimism about the film’s performance, mentioning that it will likely surpass Sarfira’s opening and could potentially witness growth on the second day if the content is strong, citing his trust in the director and lead actor.

Neeraj Pandey wrote and directed Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, a film that was co-produced by Shital Bhatia, Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Sangeeta Ahir. The cast includes Ajay as Krishna, Tabu as Vasudha, Shantanu Maheshwari as the younger version of Ajay, and Saiee Manjrekar as the younger version of Tabu.
