It is widely known Kalki 2898 AD, the SCI FI Fantasy blockbuster starring Prabhas and directed by Nag Ashwin turned into a blockbuster hit at the Box Office. The movie also grew into the biggest opener in the Hindi market with 23 crores net. What’s more surprising thing was Kalki crossed Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter opening record and set a record for opening day nos for Bollywood this year. Now, Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 is all set to break Prabhas’s record in the Hindi Market.
Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film, Stree 2 will be released in theaters worldwide on August 15th and the premieres will be out on 14th August night itself. The film’s advance bookings have already opened and started on an extraordinary note. Stree 2 is a horror comedy and being a sequel, audiences are interested to watch it on massive screens. Also, with a holiday advantage, Stree 2’s box office performance will be more effective. The trade experts anticipate the film to open with a record opening figure of this year and break the number of Kalki 2898 AD in North Indian market by a a substantial margin.
Around 35 crore net is expected on the opening day from Stree 2, which is a terrific number. Stree first part was released in 2018 and became a super hit and collected over 100 crores net and now, Stree 2 is on course to gather around 250 crores if it gets a positive response. All in all, Stree 2 numbers are certain to bring a big relief for Bollywood, which is having not in a good phase in 2024.
