Suriya, a prominent figure not only in Kollywood but also in South Indian Cinema, is known for his widespread popularity across different languages. Presently, he is strategically choosing projects and is gearing up to appear in front of the audience with Kanguva- a high-budget pan-India movie that is expected to elevate Suriya’s status once more. In the Telugu states, Suriya enjoys a large fan base, with business projected to reach 25 Cr. Kerala rights have been purchased for 10 Cr, while other territories also have high prices. Non-theatrical business deals have been sealed at unprecedented rates, and Amazon Prime Video has secured the digital rights for South Indian languages for a substantial 80 Cr. Kanguva is generating a lot of excitement in the northern market, with the Hindi rights being sold for a substantial sum. Devi Sri Prasad has crafted the music for this thrilling action fantasy movie, and the audio and satellite rights have been acquired for significant sums. The overall revenue from the film is expected to reach around 350 Cr, encompassing both theatrical and non-theatrical rights.
The film, directed by Siva, showcases Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in their Kollywood debut. Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, and Yogi Babu play significant roles. Studio Green and UV Creations produce this grand fantasy project.
