Borderlands has made its OTT debut in India nearly two months after its theatrical release. The film can be streamed on the popular digital platform, Prime Video, but there is a catch. The viewers can watch the film only if they rent the film by paying Rs. 149. The film is based on the Gearbox Software video games. The film did not receive the desired result as the critics slammed it, and it ended up as a big failure at the box office. Borderlands collected $33 million at the worldwide box office, and its budget was nearly $110 million, which made it a huge loss venture.
Eli Roth is the co-writer and director of Borderlands, which featured Cate Blanchett, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Gina Gershon, Edgar Ramirez, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Jamie Curtis in the main roles. The film tells the story of a group of people who come together to find the lost daughter of the universe’s most powerful man.
Borderlands is set against the backdrop of the most unstable planet in the galaxy, Pandora, which is home to the notorious bounty hunter Lilith. She takes on the job of finding the abducted daughter of the most powerful supervillain in the universe, Atlas. Lilith teams up with Roland, Tina, Krieg, and Tannis along with Claptrap, a shrewd robot. The rest of the story is what challenges this team of impropable people faces in its mission.
