Bode Prasad fumes at Chandrababu Naidu

Penamaluru former MLA from TDP Bode Prasad is fuming at party chief N Chandrababu Naidu these days. This is because there are strong rumours doing rounds that Penamaluru seat would be given to some outsiders.

Bode Prasad won the seat in 2014 and lost to the YSR Congress in 2019 by a margin of 11,317 votes. Since then he had been working in the constituency and being with the people as a local leader.

Now, there is a strong rumour that the ticket would be given to some outsiders. Names like former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao are coming up for discussion. The TDP top leadership is in favour of giving to seat to Devineni and not to Bode Prasad.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Bode Prasad said that people whom he believed are cheating him. He expressed confidence in the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and asserted that the party would give him the ticket.

He said that his rivals were leading the campaign that I would not be nominated for the seat. I will teach a lesson or two for all those once the TDP releases the list. I am expecting Chandrababu Naidu to give me the ticket, he said.

He further said that he is not ready to believe the rumours. I have confidence in Chandrababu Naidu. I am sure that he would give me the seat, Bode Prasad told the media persons. He further said that he would think of contesting as independent once the tickets are issued.

He said that he had worked for the party and the constituency during the last five years. I did not leave the constituency like many of the leaders. He asserted that Chandrababu Naidu would not do injustice to the leaders who are committed to the people and the party as well.
