Ayalaan, Sivakarthikeyan’s Pongal release, faced tough competition from Dhanush’s Captain Miller, resulting in a slow start at the box office. However, the film managed to hold its ground with the support of the family audience and became the Pongal Winner. The plan was to release the Telugu version on Republic Day, and the movie’s crew, along with Sivakarthikeyan, promoted it extensively in Hyderabad. Unfortunately, the Telugu release did not materialize due to various reasons. The Telugu audiences were disappointed with Ayalaan not getting released in Telugu, but they can now enjoy the film on the OTT platform, according to the latest news.
While the Tamil version made its debut on OTT platform Sun NXT on February 9, there has yet to be an update on the release of the Telugu version. However, there is a buzz that the Telugu version might be released on Sun NXT on April 19. Although this information is yet to be confirmed, it has gained significant attention.
Directed by R. Ravi Kumar, known for his work in Indru Netru Nalai, Ayalaan is a sci-fi film starring Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. The movie is produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh under the banner of KJR Studios. Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Bhanu Priya, and Yogi Babu also play important roles in the film. AR Rahman composed the music for Ayalaan.
