Asif clarified, “My reaction was spontaneous because the host mispronounced his name, and secondly, he was not given the opportunity to come on stage.” He mentioned that the music composer faced challenges in accessing the stage due to mobility issues. The actor emphasized that Ramesh behaved graciously and that he harbored no disappointment. “I was unsure how to react given the extensive coverage of the incident in the media. I implore you, please cease the negative campaign against him.” Asif also expressed gratitude towards those who showed support and affection.
