AP BJP leaders oppose alliance with TDP!

Several senior leaders of the BJP from Andhra Pradesh are unhappy with the party leadership for accepting the alliance with the TDP. They are not happy with the leadership for going for alliance without even consulting them.

Except those who have come to the BJP from the TDP, the other leaders are upset with the alliance. Not many of them are in favour of going with the TDP. They know the tricks of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in carrying forward the alliance.

They find fault with the party leadership and Chandrababu Naidu for allocating seats to the BJP where the party has no presence. Seats like Badvel, Jammalamadugu, Anaparthi, Vijayawada West, and Adoni are highly objectionable for the AP BJP leaders.

The AP BJP leaders say that the party has no presence in these segments. There are no candidates and no cadre for the party in the seats that were allocated to the party. They blame the leadership for accepting these seats without consulting the local leaders.

The AP BJP leaders also blame the party top leadership for consulting those who have come to the party from the TDP, including party president Daggubati Purandheswari. They allege that these leaders are in favour of the alliance with the TDP right from the beginning. A section of the party leaders has strong connections with the TDP, they say.

The leaders question the BJP top leadership for accepting the seats from the TDP, where the party has no presence. “It is difficult to find even election agents for the party. We would be forced to have TDP cadre are our election agents here,” a senior leader said.

The party is strong in Vijayawada Central, while the alliance had given Vijayawada West Assembly seat. There is no cadre for the party in Vijayawada West. They don’t even have a candidate to fight the election here, the senior leaders say.

Similarly, Badvel, the party has no candidates and no cadre. They wonder how the party top leadership accepted these proposals from the TDP. The seat sharing was done by the TDP and not the BJP, they say.
It is to be seen how the BJP AP leaders would work in these segments for the party once the election process begins.
