Following much fan excitement, the Malayalam investigative thriller Anweshippin Kandethum, starring Tovino Thomas, was finally released in theaters last Friday (9 Feb 2024). The movie’s engaging story and plot led to an enthusiastic response from fans, resulting in packed theaters and sold-out shows during its opening weekend. Despite heavy competition at the box office with blockbusters like Premalu and the latest release, Bramayugam, starring superstar Mammootty, Anweshipping Kandethum is doing well at the box office.
The film collected over 7 crore mark in Kerala in 8 days, and the overall gross will be over 10 crore at the worldwide box office in 8 days. Directed by newcomer Darwin Kuriakose, Anweshippin Kandethum is an exciting police thriller reportedly inspired by some high-profile crime cases that shook the state of Kerala. It sheds light on the experiences of local law enforcement officers involved in investigating the mysterious murder of a teenager and facing the challenge of identifying the perpetrator. In addition to the famous actor Tovino Thomas, Anweshippin Kandethum features a talented ensemble cast, including Siddique, Indrans, Shammi Thilakan, and Baburaj in pivotal roles. Yoodle Films & Theatre of Dreams produced the movie, which hit theaters on 9 February 2024.
Tovino Thomas is set to star in the highly anticipated fantasy film ‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam,’ directed by Jithin Lal. The movie will showcase the talented actress Krithi Shetty in the lead role. Tovino Thomas will also be seen in the upcoming Lal Jr. directorial ‘Nadikar,’ scheduled for release on May 3rd.
