Actress Nivetha Pethuraj thrashes baseless rumors

Yesterday, there were rumors on social media suggesting that Udhayanidi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, had gifted a luxurious house worth Rs 50 crore to actress Nivetha Pethuraj. A video discussing this matter featuring a prominent figure from the Tamil cinema industry went viral on social media and eventually reached Nivetha. In response to these speculations, the actress has provided a detailed explanation. “Lately, there has been false news circulating about money being lavishly spent on me. I kept quiet because I thought people who are speaking about this will have some humanity to verify the information they receive before mindlessly spoiling a girl’s life, she tweeted.

Nivetha added, “I come from a very dignified family. I have been financially independent and stable since the age of 16. My family still resides in Dubai. We’ve been in Dubai for over 20 years.” The actress firmly stated that throughout her career in the movie industry, she has never approached any producer, director, or hero to secure roles or opportunities. Instead, she has been fortunate to be discovered and offered over 20 films. She emphasized that she has never been driven by greed for work or money and will continue to maintain this mindset. This resolute affirmation from the actress should effectively quash the negative narrative circulating on social media. It is worth noting that Nivetha has chosen not to pursue legal action against the individual responsible for this incident.

Nivetha Pethuraj concluded by expressing her decision not to pursue legal action, as she maintains faith in the integrity of journalism. She urged journalists to verify information before tarnishing a family’s reputation and causing further distress. She also expressed gratitude to those who supported her and hoped that truth would prevail. Udhayanidhi Stalin and Nivetha Pethuraj collaborated in the film ‘Podhuvaga Em Manasu Thangam,’ which was helmed by director Thalapathy Prabhu.
