Narne Nithiin’s AAY has become a surprise hit at the box office. Backed by prominent producer Bunny Vas under the GA2 Banner, the film was released in theaters on August 16th. Anji K Maniputhra debuted with this film, which also stars Nayan Sarika, Rajkumar Kasireddy and Ankith Koyya in crucial roles.
No one expected AAY to emerge as a winner at the box office as it was released alongside Raviteja and Harish Shankar’s Mr. Bachchan and Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannath’s Double Ismart. However with the help of good content and positive talk, AAY dominated the new releases and collected 9 Crores Gross at the worldwide box office.
As the film is performing very well at the ticket windows, 150 new screens have been added in the second week for AAY. With the increased shows and screens, the film is expected to collect much more on the second weekend. AAY deals with the issues of caste and several other aspects which divide people funnily. The critics appreciated director Anji for handling a sensitive issue hurting no one.
